Booo, what happened to the summer??

Summer was great for me, I sneekily managed to take stacks of time off, so had a  great summer with my boys.

I managed to fit lots of work in around them too though, they are used to coming on shoots with me now! Jasper is getting pretty good at taking his own  shots now!

Much excitement is to come.....Panto season is upon us! Yay... and the launch shoot with the cast of The Deco really was a hoot! Alison Hammond had my cheeks aching from laughing so much! Its a great cast, as well as Alison, it stars Cj De Mooi, Danny Walters, Danielle McCormack, James Horne, Northamptons own top radio presenter John Griff and Clive Fletcher.... A fabulous cast and so much fun, I can't wait to see it. Looking forward to seeing them all again at the dress rehearsal.

 

It's busy as usual from now until Christmas, lots of great events to capture, lets hope the Indian summer is still around the corner!!!! ;)

So, thats the last of the dance shows, what a crazy few weeks! But I absolutely adore shooting them, they are super fast turnaround and shooting at the dress rehearsal is a bit manic, as you have to take so many photos to ensure you get the right shots. The light is really tricky, so the iso tends to go sky high! I get a real buzz from taking them.

 

I usually mange to take around 1200-1500 photos, form which I'll narrow it down to 200 or so. The shows have been fantastic so I have been able to get some great photos for my portfolio. This on the the baby ballet dancers has to be one of my favourites!

It's so exciting shooting a wedding! Everyone is super happy so shots are easy to come by! The bride is sometimes nervous but I like to think that I help to calm the mood by being efficient and easy going. Managing people is sometimes challenging, getting them into the right place at the right time, but I quite enjoy doing this... It's a fun occasion and the photographs need to be exactly right to capture the moment... Joe and Jules wedding in the teepee was fabulous fun and the weather was amazing.. :)

Fantastic couple of nights selling the Spotlight dance show's photos, what an amazingly talented load of children!! Thanks to the lovely Erris Major for helping me :)

Well thats the first dance shoot done for June, Shooting 200 dancers from Spotlight Dance School at their dress rehearsal. Photos are then ready to sell at the performances later in the week.... Its busy, but it's good! XO

It's getting there! It took a while, and I hope to add more photos to it soon!
